WeRide is the only tech company in the world that holds driverless permits in China, the UAE, Singapore and the US, conducting autonomous driving R&D, tests and operations in over 30 cities of 9 countries around the world. WeRide has operated a self-driving fleet for more than 1,800 days. WeRide.ai is looking for world-class coders to work on transforming mobility by solving some of the most challenging AI and robotics problems. At the core of developing a safe and reliable autonomous vehicle is a deep, data-driven understanding of its performance. The Metrics team is central to this mission. You will be responsible for creating the infrastructure that turns raw data into critical insights, ensuring that every decision we make is backed by accurate and scalable metrics.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Design, build, and deploy robust, large-scale systems for implementing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and engineering metrics across our autonomous driving stack.
  • Develop and maintain critical distributed data processing pipelines and system performance evaluation frameworks that serve as the backbone for our development, testing, and validation efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with data producers and consumers across data science, engineering, and product management to understand their data needs, provide consultation, and align on data solutions.
  • Investigate and resolve stability, performance, and scalability issues in our data ingestion and processing platforms to ensure our systems run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Establish and own robust data integrity monitoring and validation systems, guaranteeing that company-wide metrics are based on accurate, reliable, and trustworthy data.

Requirements:

  • BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python.
  • Strong experience in data structures and advanced algorithms.
  • Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in building and maintaining data infrastructure, data pipelines, and large-scale systems.
  • Experience building and optimizing distributed data processing pipelines and using SQL with large-scale data warehouses.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
