At Quizlet, our mission is to help every learner achieve their outcomes in the most effective and delightful way. We’re a $1B+ learning platform used by two-thirds of U.S. high school students and half of college students, powering over 1 billion learning interactions each week. We blend cognitive science with machine learning to personalize and enhance the learning experience for students, professionals, and lifelong learners alike. We’re energized by the potential to power more learners through multiple approaches and various tools.

Let’s Build the Future of Learning

Join us to design and deliver AI-powered learning tools that scale across the world and unlock human potential.

About the Team

At Quizlet, we believe in fostering a lifelong love for learning by making it fun to practice and master any subject. The growth team advances the company’s mission by bringing Quizlet to students and teachers in the U.S. and across +150 countries. We do so through three core teams, including Acquisition, Activation & Retention, and International Growth.

This high-performing, business-aligned team is responsible for attracting new users to sign up on the platform, converting those users into studiers, and generating features that encourage users to come back to study more often on the web and our mobile app. This team is also responsible for making sure that new features developed by our core product teams have the best chance of reaching their intended audience. We serve the organization by creating sustainable pathways for growth, through which we can help students achieve their goals and reach more students across the globe.

About the Role

As the Sr. Director of Product Management, Growth, you’ll lead Quizlet’s efforts to expand our reach and impact by growing our user base, both through optimizing existing growth levers and by discovering entirely new ones. You’ll own the strategy and execution across the full user growth funnel, from acquisition to activation, and be tasked with pushing past the obvious to uncover bold new ways to bring learners to Quizlet. This is a highly cross-functional role, requiring close collaboration with engineering, design, marketing, and data teams to turn insights into scalable impact.

We’re happy to share that this is an onsite position in our San Francisco office. To help foster team collaboration, we require that employees be in the office a minimum of three days per week: Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and as needed by your manager or the company. We believe that this working environment facilitates increased work efficiency, team partnership, and supports growth as an employee and organization.

In this role, you will:

  • Set and drive Quizlet’s growth product strategy across acquisition, onboarding, and activation experiences
  • Identify and scale new channels and untapped growth vectors, whether through partnerships, platform expansion community, referrals, or emerging tech
  • Own and continuously refine key growth metrics (e.g., new users, activation rate, retention) through a rigorous test-and-learn approach
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of product managers focused on experimentation and user impact
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ship high-impact features and experiments that directly drive user growth
  • Evangelize a culture of curiosity, speed, and data-informed decision-making across the organization

What you bring to the table:

  • 10+ years in product management, including 5+ years leading growth-focused teams
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field
  • Proven ability to drive both iterative optimization and net-new growth initiatives
  • Strong analytical and experimentation chops—you know how to define and move key metrics
  • Experience launching new growth channels or product surfaces from 0 to 1
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and executional levels in a fast-moving environment

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in edtech, consumer platforms, or mobile-first products with massive user scale
  • Familiarity with emerging channels (e.g., AI-powered discovery, embedded distribution, community-driven growth)
  • An eye for intuitive UX and a mind for user psychology

Compensation, Benefits & Perks:

Quizlet is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. Salary transparency helps to mitigate unfair hiring practices when it comes to discrimination and pay gaps. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a starting base salary of $230,000 - $325,000, depending on location and experience, as well as company stock options.

Collaborate with your manager and team to create a healthy work-life balance. 20 vacation days (and we expect you to take them!). Competitive health, dental, and vision insurance (100% employee and 75% dependent PPO, Dental, VSP Choice). Employer-sponsored 401k plan with company match. Access to LinkedIn Learning and other resources to support professional growth. Paid Family Leave, FSA, HSA, Commuter benefits, and Wellness benefits. 40 hours of annual paid time off to participate in volunteer programs of choice.
